Timber is an adorable 3-year-old, 29 lbs. beagle mix with a charming, bobbed tail. He is initially timid in new situations and when meeting new people, but his sweet nature quickly shines through. He tends to warm up to women more quickly. Timber is making great progress with his foster mom and often seeks out belly rubs.

He has gotten along well with the dogs and cats he has met, showing a more submissive than confident demeanor. Timber is playful and can get excited and rambunctious, but he respects other dogs when they don’t want to play. He loves being outdoors and enjoys playing with toys, often burying them in the sand.

Timber is sensitive to loud noises and may flee to find safety, so he should be considered a flight risk. He is learning to walk comfortably on a leash but still needs practice and positive reinforcement. He is not a fan of car rides or being crated.

Timber needs a patient adopter who can provide a stable and loving environment, helping him learn that the world is not as scary as it seems. With the right environment, Timber will blossom into a confident, affectionate companion.
