Timber is an adorable 3-year-old, weighing 28 lbs and a mix of 50% Australian Cattle Dog and 50% Beagle, sporting a charming, bobbed tail. He loves being outdoors, running and playing, often showing herding behaviors that make him excited, rambunctious, and vocal sometimes overwhelming himself. A playmate who can handle his energetic style would be ideal.

A free spirit, Timber makes it clear he dislikes being crated. He’s housetrained and enjoys the comfort of sleeping on the human bed. Affectionate and fond of belly rubs, this lively boy needs plenty of daily opportunities to burn off his energy. Like many active young dogs, without enough exercise he can get into mischief. Timber requires a patient adopter who can provide a stable, loving home and help him learn to dial back his herding tendencies and recognize when other dogs are ready to stop playing. In the right setting, Timber will thrive into a confident, affectionate companion.
