Ruby is a sweet little beagle from NC. The owner got tired of the pen in the backyard and wanted to take it down so gave Ruby away. Luckily, a rescue partner stepped in to help get her to a northern rescue. This friendly, playful little girl is about 11 months old and weighs 23 lbs. Her estimated DOB is 10/28/24.

Ruby LOVES toys and empties the toy bin several times a day, often bringing toys in and out through the dog door. She is happy to entertain herself or play with another dog. Ruby is housetrained and good with cats. She is a typical food motivated beagle and will stand on her hind legs for treats. She is getting comfortable with her foster parents and freely snuggles with them. She loves being petted and will often tap their arm to ask for more. She happily comes running when called, especially if there is food waiting for her!

Ruby can be a little timid if approached too quickly but is making huge strides every day. She is a fun little beagle that would do great with an active family. Ruby needs a home with a secure fenced yard and another dog to play with.
