Thelma is a stray from the south who, along with another beagle, wandered onto someone’s property. The kind homeowner took them in, provided vet care, and reached out for help finding them forever homes. They arrived in rough shape but have since recovered and are ready to begin their happy lives.

While staying with the family who cared for her, Thelma got along well with the other dogs in the home and with children, showing special gentleness toward young kids. She is estimated to be 1–2 years old, weighs about 25 lbs, and is housetrained. She adapted quickly to life indoors, enjoying naps on the sofa and sleeping in the human bed with the rest of the family. Generally quiet, she alerts to visitors and can get a bit vocal during play. She is loving, affectionate, and always ready to cuddle. Thelma does well in a crate after some initial howling and is a super chewer who needs toys to keep her occupied.
