Louise is a sweet stray from the south who, along with another beagle, wandered onto someone’s property. The kind homeowner welcomed them, provided vet care, and sought help in finding their forever homes. They arrived in poor condition but have since recovered and are ready to start their happy lives.

During her stay with the caring family, Louise got along wonderfully with other dogs and children, showing special gentleness toward young kids. She’s estimated to be 1–2 years old, weighs about 25 lbs, and is housetrained. She quickly adapted to life indoors, enjoying naps on the sofa and sleeping in the human bed with the rest of the family. Louise will alert visitors and can be vocal at times, though not excessively. She is affectionate, loving, and always up for cuddles. She does well in a crate after some initial howling and would thrive with an active family she can spend time with. Louise loves attention and play and can be a little jumpy to make sure you know she’s ready for some fun!

Louise will travel north when an adopter is found.
