Merit came to us with another beagle from a rescue in the south. He is about 4 years old and 30 lbs. This sweet boy was found stray and pulled by the rescue. We readily welcomed him to HLBR and are excited to find him a forever home.

Merit is an outgoing and affectionate boy. He is good and playful with other dogs. He is NOT a fan of cats. Merit is a medium to high energy boy who has things to do! He does not care for the kennel or crate. He will do best with a secure fenced in yard. He will need some leash training because he is a curious boy. All his zest for life means he can be vocal at times too. Merit would do best with someone home regularly and with kids over 10 because he can be jumpy.
