Louie is an 8-year-old, 27 lbs, friendly fella who found himself being rehomed because his mom was having difficulty caring for him and wanted a better life for him. He has a sweet personality and gets along well with people, cats, and dogs. He especially loves toddlers who often share their snacks with him even if they didn’t intend to!

He loves a good sniffari and prefers one-on-one play over dog park interactions. Louie is housetrained and comfortable in an open crate, though he doesn’t like the door closed. He can be mildly protective of his treats and toys, so children should be old enough to respect a dog’s space.

Louie is easygoing when it comes to sleeping, happily snoozing on the couch, his bed, or just about anywhere. He walks well on a leash, with a little pulling when he catches an interesting scent. Generally quiet, he will join in if others are barking. This adorable beagle has a quirky side—tiptoeing on wet grass, jumping away after doing his business, enjoying empty car seats, and loving to hang out under beds and couches.
