About: Chief, formerly Milky Way is one of our candy bar beagle mix puppies born in February 2024. Chief’s family situation has changed, and they are unable to care for him so Chief is looking for a new family to love. He is now 1.5 years old, approximately 40 lbs. He is friendly, outgoing and affectionate. He is good with dog savvy cats and currently has a dog sibling. He hasn’t had many opportunities to meet a lot of dogs so will do best in a smaller pack. He is young and playful and LOVES children. He is excitable though so may be too much for small children.

Chief walks pretty well on leash, does well in the car with a seat belt, sits to wait for his food to be placed, is house trained and crate trained. He is quick so don’t leave food hanging around! Chief loves pets and stomach scratches and will tap you with his paw to get a few extra ones in. He is an active boy who will be great for someone who spends a lot of time outdoors as he loves to sniff and work.
