About: Huey was surrendered to a local rescue by a hunter who said he was "running hot" - he was panting too much and didn't have enough stamina to be successful at hunting. It was discovered that Huey has a 3/6 heart murmur. It doesn't cause issues in his day-to-day life, but made hunting difficult. The rescue asked us to help because they were already overwhelmed.

Cute and loving Huey is around 4 years old, 30 lbs, and good with cats, dogs and people of all ages! He gets along well with the three dogs in his foster home and adjusts his play and interaction accordingly. Huey was a hunting dog, so as expected he can pull on leash when on a scent. While he's learning how nice it is to rest on a couch, he does love to be outside! A home with a fenced in yard would be a bonus for this little guy. Huey is progressing along well with house-training.
