Bella and Griff aren’t a bonded pair, but they are hoping to find a home where they can stay together. Their current owner’s travel-heavy job makes it difficult to give them the time and attention they deserve, and these two energetic pups would thrive with space to run, play, and simply be dogs.

Rescued from a kennel in New York, Griff is about 7 years old and Bella is 3. Both weigh around 25 pounds. They’re friendly and sweet, each with their own personality: Griff is the more vocal of the two—his signature sound is a funny little whimpering grunt rather than a howl—while Bella is quieter and a bit timid at first.

Both dogs have medium-to-high energy and can be jumpy when meeting new people, so they may not be the best fit for homes with young children or seniors. Because most of their past experience has been outdoors, they’ll need a patient adopter willing to introduce them to indoor living at a gentle pace.

On leash, they currently pull from excitement and will benefit from training and consistency. The good news is they’re smart, eager to learn, and highly food motivated. A secure fenced yard where they can safely burn off energy would set them up for success.

With the right environment, structure, and continued training, Bella and Griff have all the makings of wonderful, loyal companions.
